INDIANAPOLIS – The Indy Fuel, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s Chicago Blackhawks and the AHL’s Rockford IceHogs announced Wednesday that they have signed defenseman Dominic Dockery to a standard player contract.
Dockery, 25, joins the Fuel after splitting the season between the University of Maine and the ECHL’s Wheeling Nailers. After finishing his collegiate career at Maine, the 6-foot-2, 185-pound defenseman signed with the Wheeling Nailers where he played 29 games and earned five assists and eight penalty minutes. Prior to turning pro, Dockery played four years at Merrimack College where he skated in 108 games earning three goals and 16 assists.
Dockery will join the Fuel ahead of a three-game week beginning with a Wednesday night contest against the Central Division-leading Toledo Walleye. The Fuel will close out the 2021-22 regular season with a home-and-home series with the Cincinnati Cyclones on Friday at Heritage Bank Center before finishing up the year at Indiana Farmers Coliseum on Saturday night.
