Fuel announce 2018 Preseason schedule; ticket on-sale date

INDIANAPOLIS - The Indy Fuel, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Chicago Blackhawks and the AHL's Rockford IceHogs, announced their 2018 preseason schedule on Thursday afternoon. The Fuel will meet the Fort Wayne Komets for a pair of exhibition contests on Oct. 5-6, before opening the 2018-19 regular season at home against Fort Wayne on Friday, Oct. 12.

The Hoosier State rivals will kick off the 2018 preseason on Friday, Oct. 5 at Indiana Farmers Coliseum, with puck drop slated for 6 p.m. ET. In honor of Indy's fifth anniversary season, seats to Friday's exhibition will be available for just $5 by visiting IndyFuelHockey.com or Ticketmaster. Fans who have purchased Full-Season, Half-Season, 12-Game Flex Pack or a 9-Game Plan for the 2018-19 season will receive their seats for the preseason game as part of their ticket package.

The Fuel and Komets wrap up the home-and-home series on Saturday, Oct. 6 during a 7:30 p.m. rematch at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum.

In addition, the Fuel announced that individual tickets for the preseason, Opening Weekend and the remainder of the club's October home games will go on sale Friday, Sept. 14 at 10 a.m. ET. Tickets can be purchased by logging on to IndyFuelHockey.com or by visiting the Indiana Farmers Coliseum box office. Single-game tickets for the remainder of Indy's 2018-19 regular season schedule will be available on a later date.
