INDY FUEL WEEK 12 RESULTS: 2-1-0-0, 16-14-0-0 Overall, 4th Central Division

Thursday, December 27 - Fuel 5 vs. Wheeling 2: The Fuel started their weekend tripleheader by handing the Wheeling Nailers their first regulation loss in 10 games in a 5-2 decision at Indiana Farmers Coliseum. Kevin Dufour continued his offensive production with two goals, while Olivier Labelle (1g, 1a), Alex Brooks (1g, 1a) and Neil Manning (2a) each chipped in a pair of points. Labelle, Brooks and Dufour combined to help give Indy a 3-1 lead after one period, which they extended with two more goals in the third. Goaltender Matt Tomkins was strong between the pipes for the Fuel, turning aside 33 of 35 Nailers shots.

Friday, December 28 - Fuel 5 vs. Cincinnati 2: The Fuel snapped the Cincinnati Cyclones' 10-game unbeaten streak Friday night with a decisive 5-2 victory at Indiana Farmers Coliseum. Ryan Rupert scored two third period goals to bolster a 3-2 Indy lead, while goaltender Matt Tomkins made 30 saves to stymie the ECHL's top-ranked team. Brett Welychka and Quentin Shore each recorded a goal and an assist for Indy, while Radovan Bondra marked a pair of assists.

Saturday, December 29 - Fuel 2 vs. Brampton 5: Indy saw a three game winning streak come to an end on Saturday as they suffered a 5-2 defeat at the hands of the Brampton Beast at Indiana Farmers Coliseum. The Beast found the net four times in the third period to blow open a 1-1 deadlock, including three goals coming in a span of just one minute and 25 seconds. Alex Brooks and Mathew Thompson provided the goal scoring for Indy, while former Fuel forward Anthony Beauregard picked up a goal and two assists for Brampton. Goaltender Jason Pawloski turned aside 26 of 31 shots in the loss.

INDY FUEL WEEK 13 SCHEDULE:

Monday, December 31 - Fuel at Kalamazoo (3 p.m. ET, Wings Event Center)

The Fuel wrap up their 2018 slate of games with a New Year's Eve matinee showdown in Kalamazoo against the Wings. Indy is 3-1-0-0 against the Central Division foe so far this season, picking up a 5-4 win in its last trip to Michigan back on Dec. 22.

Thursday, January 3 - Fuel vs. Fort Wayne (7:05 p.m. ET, Indiana Farmers Coliseum)

Friday, January 4 - Fuel vs. Wheeling (7:35 p.m. ET, Indiana Farmers Coliseum)

Saturday, January 5 - Fuel at Fort Wayne (7:30 p.m. ET, Memorial Coliseum)

The Fuel wrap up a weekend 3-in-3 tripleheader with a trip to Allen County for their second showdown with the Komets in three days.

OIL DROPS:

-The Fuel enter Week 13 winners of three of their last four contests, sporting a 5-2 record in seven games since Dec. 14.

-With three straight victories from Dec. 22-28, Indy matched a season-long winning streak set back from Oct. 13-20.

-Finishing a three-game homestand with a 2-1 record in Week 12, the Fuel improved their record at Indiana Farmers Coliseum to 12-5-0-0 on the season.

-Indy's 12 wins on home ice is tied for the second-most in the ECHL, behind only the Jacksonville IceMen (15).

-Entering Week 13 with 32 points, the Fuel's mark of 16-14-0-0 represents the club's best start through 30 games in franchise history.

-Indy is 13-2-0-0 this season when holding a lead after two periods of play.

-The Fuel play 19 of their next 20 games against Central Division opponents.

-Forward Kevin Dufour recorded seven goals and one assist over a four-game span from Dec. 15 to Dec. 27.

-After scoring only one goal over his first 24 games this season, defenseman Alex Brooks has found the net in two of his last three outings.

-Forward Olivier Labelle has scored three goals and six assists over his last seven games.

-Matt Tomkins is tied for third among all ECHL goaltenders with 12 wins on the season.

-Tomkins has won seven of his last eight starts for Indy, posting a 2.82 goals against average and a .915 save percentage over that span.
