Fuel face rematch with Nailers

THE MATCHUP: The Indy Fuel (2-1-0-0) match up with the Wheeling Nailers (1-2-0-0) after suffering their first loss (4-3) of the season last night. The Fuel look to bounce back after a last minute goal from the Nailers by Blake Siebenaler that lifted Wheeling to victory. Wheeling notched their first victory of the season in their first home game after losing to Cincinnati and Fort Wayne. This was the first time this season the Fuel didn't strike first as the Nailers got on the board first at 5:59 in the first period.

POWER PLAY PARTY: The Fuel seem to have found their groove on the man advantage with a combined six power play goals in the last two games. Derian Plouffe got the first power play goal last night with a helper from Ben Youds, and Spencer Watson. Watson got his own goal later in the night for his third of the season, with the assist from Alex Krushelnyski and Youds.

NAILERS HANG TOUGH: With less than one minute left in regulation time Yushiroh Hirano fired a one timer from the right circle that bounced off of goaltender Charles Williams chest and Siebenaler squeezed it into the corner of the net to win the game for Wheeling at 19:36.

STAT PADDERS: In his first game with the Fuel Youds had two assists and one shot on goal. Krushelynski and Watson are currently tied at five for leading the team in points. With Krushelynski's assist, Watson's goal and helper and Plouffe's goal all three players have had points in the last three games.

GOAL TENDING MATCHUP: Charles Williams (3.87, 1-1-0-0, .855) got his second start of the season last night in Wheeling. Williams stopped 23 of 27 shots in between the pipes including facing Wheeling on the power play five times. In the net for the Nailers last night was Jordan Ruby (2.25, 1-1-0-0, .921) who stopped 26 of the 29 shots.
