Fuel End Weekend With Sunday Afternoon Matchup with Atlanta

THE ATL: Coming off of Saturday's loss to the Greenville Swamp Rabbits, Indy finishes off three games in three days against the Atlanta Gladiators in an afternoon matinee. The Gladiators come into Sunday's matchup having lost four out of their last five matchups, while Indy has dropped two in a row to South Division teams.

THE MATCHUP: In a difficult South Division, Atlanta has dropped seven out of 12 games this season, sitting in fourth out of seven teams in the division. Only having played four games at home this season, Atlanta has as many wins as losses on home ice this season. After winning three straight games at home, Indy has lost two games in a row against teams in the South Division. Entering Sunday's matchup, Indy will have played three games in four days.

LEADING THE PACK: Graham Knott enters Sunday's game having earned points in four out of his last five games. Appearing in only seven games this season Karl El-Mir has five goals and two assists, adding his fifth goal of the season on Saturday night. El-Mir leads all ECHL rookies with three power play goals this season. Leading the Gladiators with seven goals and seven assists in nine games is Samuel Asselin. Asselin is third in points by rookies behind Greenville's Liam Pecararo and Newfoundland's Colt Conrad. Scoring five goals and three assists in two games Asselin was named the ECHL Player of the Week for Oct. 28-Nov. 3.

BETWEEN THE PIPES: Through 12 games, the Fuel have evenly split games between Goaltenders Charles Williams and Chase Marchand. Failing to earn the win in Greenville on Saturday night Chase Marchand was handed his third loss of the season. Marchand currently tops Charles Williams with a 2.68 goals-against average and a .905 save percentage. Similarly to the Fuel, the Gladiators have two goaltenders that have split the season so far. Martin Ouellette leads the Gladiators with a 4.42 goals-against average and a .843 save percentage.

LOOKING AHEAD: Failing to earn a win on Friday and Saturday, Indy heads to Atlanta to take on the Gladiators before heading to Jacksonville to face the Icemen on Wednesday. The Fuel will return home on Friday, November 22 to host the Wheeling Nailers before heading on the road to face the Cincinnati Cyclones for the fourth time this season on November 23.
