November 4th and 7th, 2019 - Girls on the Run Practice
Prior to the Indy Fuel and Girls on the Run 5K, several players visited GOTR chapters in the Indianapolis area to help the girls practice healthy lifestyle choices! The Girls on the Run is a program for 8 to 13 year old girls that promotes girl empowerment by teaching life skills through running.
November 9th, 2019 - Girls on the Run Indy Fuel 5k
Twice a year, the Fuel and Girls on the Run Central Indiana will host a 5K to benefit the GOTR organization. This past November was the fourth annual event and sign ups are up now for the spring's 5K on May 9th 2020!
November 9th, 2019 - Little Red Door
This past month our own Mathew Thompson took on a mentorship role with our friend Levi through the Little Red Door program. Thompson invited Levi to our Pucks n Paws night and dropped the ceremonial first puck!
November 12th, 2019 - RTV6 Literacy Program at St Pius Catholic School
The Indy Fuel teamed up with the RTV-6 Literacy Program to read some books to the kids at St. Pius Catholic School. This program aims to teach the impact of reading to kids and its connection to mental and intellectual growth.
November 22nd, 2019 - Make a Wish
Before the Fuel took on the Wheeling Nailers, we teamed up with Batman to help make our friend Jakarr's wishes come true! Jakarr was able to meet and hangout with the Caped Crusader and even read the starting lineups to the Fuel locker room!
