FINAL BATTLE SCENE: After dropping Friday's game against the Kalamazoo Wings, the Fuel come into Saturday looking to get back on the winning track and keep their winning streak against the Mavericks alive. Indy has won seven of their last ten heading into Saturday's matchup while Kansas City is looking for their first back-to-back win since December 6th and 7th.

GOOD VS EVIL: The Fuel have faced the Mavericks three times, twice on the road and once at Indiana Farmers Coliseum. Saturday's matchup will be the final time that the two teams meet this season, Indy taking all three games by a combined score of 14-5. Charles Williams shut out the Mavericks in their previous meeting, stopping 32 shots in a 4-0 win on December 10. Kansas City enters Saturday having won on Friday but have struggled to put together consistent wins, losing three out of their last five games on the road.

TEAM LEADERS: With four goals in his last three games since returning from the American Hockey League's Rockford IceHogs, Dylan McLaughlin is riding a six-game goal streak with seven goals. Leading the team in points, Spencer Watson has tallied 16 goals and 17 assists through 28 games with the Fuel. Scoring a goal on Friday against the Cincinnati Cyclones, Rocco Carzo leads the Mavericks with 12 goals and eight assists this season.

FINAL LINE OF DEFENSE: Making 20 saves on Friday against Kalamazoo, Charles Williams was handed his first loss since November 27th at Adirondack. Through 19 games with the Fuel Williams has earned a 2.84 goals-against average, a .907 save percentage and two shutouts. Appearing in 19 games with the Mavericks, Nick Schneider has registered a 3.17 goals-against average and a .888 save percentage.

FUTURE OF THE AVENGERS: The Fuel continues their three games in three days with home games on Saturday and Sunday against the Kansas City Mavericks and the Wheeling Nailers. In their fourth game in five days, the Fuel will meet Kalamazoo again at Wings Event Center for a New Year matchup on Tuesday night. With New Year's day off, Indy will return home on Thursday and Friday for two Central Division matchups with Cincinnati and Fort Wayne.
