Indy Looks to Snap Four Game Skid Against Kalamazoo

GOING TO THE KZOO: Having lost four games in a row after winning five straight, the Indy Fuel head into Friday's matchup looking for their first points since February 9th. Indy has played one game already this week, hosting the Fort Wayne Komets on Tuesday for their third annual Education Day Game. Playing Monday and Wednesday against Brampton and Fort Wayne, Kalamazoo enters Friday playing their third of four games this week.

THE MATCHUP: Having met five times out of a total of nine meetings this season, the Fuel have put together a 3-2-0-0 record against the Wings. Playing three games at the Wings Event Center, the Fuel have managed to escape with two wins, each win coming by multiple goals. Each team enters Friday night's game with multiple losses in a row, Indy with four straight and Kalamazoo with three in a row. Kalamazoo has not won multiple games in a row since early February where they beat Kansas City and Fort Wayne.

Watson, the team leader in points, has put up career numbers this season scoring 27 goals and 26 assists in 46 games in a Fuel uniform. Having a career year of his own, Bobby MacIntyre has tallied 15 goals and 31 assists in 52 games this season. Putting together 15 goals and 17 assists in 39 games this season, Justin Taylor leads the Wings in points. Skating in all five games against the Fuel this season, Taylor has registered one goal and 11 penalty minutes.

SPECIAL TEAMS BATTLE: Indy enters Friday night with the league's fourth-best power play, scoring on 21.2% of their power-play chances. While sitting in fourth in the ECHL in power play, Indy also has the third-best road power-play record, scoring on 23.6% of their man advantages on the road. Kalamazoo comes into Friday's game with the fifth-most penalty minutes in the league, averaging 15.76 penalty minutes per game. Along with earning 272 penalty minutes this season, Kalamazoo also has the worst penalty kill in the ECHL, stopping only 76% of their chances.

LOOKING AHEAD: The Fuel will play back to back road games against the Kalamazoo Wings and Fort Wayne Komets before returning home to Indiana Farmers Coliseum on Friday, January 28th for back to back home games for Players Weekend. Fans will have the chance to meet Blackhawks legend Dave Bolland and bid on game-worn alternate uniforms featuring player nicknames.
