Entering their first of three games in three days, the Fuel face the Tulsa Oilers for the second of three meetings. Entering Friday’s game, Indy has won four straight games and nine on the season while Tulsa is looking for their first win since January 15 when they defeated Rapid City 4-1.

In their first game since January 9, the Indy Fuel began a four-game road trip with a Wednesday night matchup against the Tulsa Oilers. Giving up back to back goals in the second period, the Fuel would need Mike Lee and Joe Sullivan to score in the third period to put them ahead 3-2 and eventually earn their fourth straight win and ninth of the season.
ALEX’S APPLES
Sitting in first on the team in assist, Alex Rauter currently has three assists his last three games. The third-year pro picked up an assist on Mike Lee’s goal on Wednesday night and will be looking to hold on to his assist lead on Friday.
PLOUFFE RETURNS
After missing nine games due to COVID protocol, Derian Plouffe returned to the lineup on Wednesday, picking up a goal on his first shot. Prior to being out Plouffe had points in back to back games. Finishing seventh on the team in points last season, Plouffe will be expecting to get back on track with four games this weekend.
BRICK WALL BILLY
Billy Christopoulos appeared in his first game in a Fuel uniform picking up the win along with making 29 saves on 31 shots. Christopoulos is taking over for Dan Bakala who was placed on the Commissioner’s Exempt List on Monday making him ineligible to travel with the team this week.
