Indy Meets Tulsa for Final Game of Three Game Series

In their third game in four days, the Fuel will face the Tulsa Oilers for third and final time this weekend. Indy enters Saturday’s matchup having won 2-1 in overtime against the Oilers on Friday night while Tulsa has lost four straight games.

In the second game in a three-game series with Tulsa, the Fuel would be down by one for the first two periods before Mike Lee would propel Indy to overtime where Alex Rauter would seal the deal for the Fuel’s fifth straight win and their tenth win of the season.

STREAKING RAUTER

Picking up the overtime winner on Friday night, Alex Rauter has a point in each game against Tulsa this week. The third-year pro has registered a point in three out of his last four games and nine points on the season. Scoring the game-winner on Friday, Rauter has taken over the lead in points from Nic Pierog. 

BILLY HOLDS ON

Through his first two games in a Fuel uniform, goaltender Billy Christopoulos has made 68 saves on 71 total shots. The Air Force graduate was added to the Fuel lineup after Tom Aubrun was called up by the Rockford IceHogs and has earned a .956 save percentage and a 1.46 goals-against average.
