Fort Wayne would score two goals in the first and second periods, holding on to that lead until Cliff Watson cut the lead in half in the third period. Indy's power-play goal in the third period would not be enough as they fell 2-1.

LONG TIME NO SEE

Wednesday’s game will be the first time in 361 days that Indy has met the Fort Wayne Komets. Starting their season last weekend against the Wheeling Nailers, the Komets have gone to overtime and a shootout in their first two games and lost in both. No stranger to one-goal games, the Fuel enter Wednesday with a 12-2-1-0 in games decided by one goal.

TOUCHDOWN FUEL

Entering Wednesday’s game against Fort Wayne, the Fuel have scored six goals in two of their last three games. Indy has outscored their opponents 66-49 this season including three games in which they’ve scored six goals.

FUEL STRENGTH

In Sunday’s game against the Wheeling Nailers, Indy registered three power-play goals from three different players. Coming into Wednesday’s game the Fuel have scored on 20.2% of their power plays this season, although only scoring on 17.5% of chances at home. They’ll be facing a Fort Wayne team that has killed off nine out of 10 penalties in their first two games of the season.
