INDIANAPOLIS – The Indy Fuel, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Chicago Blackhawks and the AHL's Rockford IceHogs announced Monday that goaltender Billy Christopoulos has returned to the Fuel following his loan to the American Hockey League’s Hershey Bears.
Christopoulos, 26, signed with the Bears on March 18th after returning from a PTO with the Henderson Silver Knights. The 6-foot-2, 192-pound goaltender has appeared in 11 games for the Fuel this season, registering a 2.13 goals-against average and .918 save percentage.
Prior to turning pro, Christopoulos played four years at the Air Force Academy where he played 93 games, earning a 2.29 goals-against average and a .913 save percentage.
