HOME COOKING
After a seven-game road swing because of the NCAA Basketball Tournament taking over Indiana Farmers Coliseum, the Fuel will return home on Wednesday night for the first time since March 14. Through 39 games this season, Indy has put together a home record of 13-5-2-0. After earning a 3-3-1-0 record during their seven-game road swing, the Fuel will be looking to get back to consistent winning with five straight home games.
I-69 RIVALRY
Wednesday’s game will be the fourth time in six days that Indy has faced the Fort Wayne Komets. “For a coach, I like it because it is similar to a playoff series,” said Fuel assistant coach Andy Contois, “but it is tough for the players as well because they hate seeing the same guys line up across from them. But at the same fact, it’s up to us and the players to get excited because it’s these are huge points, these are huge games against Fort Wayne.” The two teams have already played eight times this season with five of the games coming at Indiana Farmers Coliseum.
PELECH’S HELPERS
Coming into Wednesday’s contest Michael Pelech is two assists away from third place on the ECHL all-time assists list. The veteran center has picked up five goals and six assists since joining the Fuel on February 26.
