LAST TIME OUT
Playing their first of two games on the weekend, the Indy Fuel hosted the Wheeling Nailers on Friday, April 2nd. The Nailers would get the first lead of the game in the second period thanks to Nick Rivera wrist shot but would be tied immediately by Indy’s Chad Yetman. Austin Fyten would net the eventual game-winning goal at the end of the second period to hand Indy the 2-1 loss.
LONG TIME NO SEE
Wednesday’s game will be the first time the Fuel have seen the Wheeling Nailers since April 2nd. Playing back-to-back games on Wednesday and Thursday, the Fuel are facing an opponent that they hold a 10-3-1-0 record against. This week’s pair of games will be the 15th and 16th times the two teams have faced one another this season.
STAYING ALIVE
After losing four out of five games to start the month of April, the Fuel have earned points in back-to-back games. Facing the Komets last weekend, Indy picked up three out of a possible six points, keeping them four points ahead of the Greenville Swamp Rabbits in the East Division.
