LAST TIME OUT
Indy has not met the Orlando Solar Bears since February 20, 2016, when they finished off a three in three with a 3-2 in a shootout win at Amway Center. The Fuel would see goals Cody Sharib and Alex Lavoie score in regulation and goaltender Shane Owen stop 33 shots before going to a shootout with the Solar Bears. Forward Rhett Bly and defenseman Ben Marshall beat Orlando’s Rob Madore in the shootout to give the Fuel the eventual 3-2 win.
TURNING AROUND
Entering Friday night’s contest, Indy is looking for their first back-to-back wins since March 20. The Fuel have struggled to string together wins as of late, losing three out of their last five games. Indy will face an Orlando team that has won six out of their last eight games and is looking to overtake them for second place in the East Division.
DEADLINE MOVES
The ECHL Trade Deadline passed on Thursday afternoon and Head Coach Doug Christiansen made three moves to add to the team’s depth going into their playoff run. Adding forward Kameron Kielly and defensemen Eric Williams and Jordan Scheider, the Fuel gets much needed depth at defense and add a forward who has produced at the collegiate level.
