LAST TIME OUT

Playing their only game of the weekend, the Fuel visited their I-69 rival Fort Wayne Komets on Sunday, May 16. Kameron Kielly would score the only goal of the game and Sean Romeo would stop 33 shots to send Indy home with a 1-0 win.

SCORING SPENCER

Coming into a three-game weekend against the Komets, Spencer Watson has three goals in his last three games. Picking up the only goal against Wheeling on Wednesday and two goals against Rapid City on May 22, Watson has the highest monthly goal total since January.

FAMILIAR FOE

This weekend’s contests will be the final time Indy faces the Fort Wayne Komets in the regular season. Indy has struggled to put together a strong record against the Komets, winning just seven out of their 18 matchups so far. The Fuel play host to the Komets three times this weekend. In 10 games at the Coliseum, this season Indy has put together a record of 3-6-1-0 when facing Fort Wayne.

6 GAMES LEFT

Falling to the Wheeling Nailers in regulation on Wednesday night, the Indy Fuel fell to .579 win percentage. Luckily, with Orlando losing to the Jacksonville Icemen, Indy still sits four games ahead of them in third place in the East. The Greenville Swamp Rabbits will be looking to earn the second playoff spot in the East on Saturday when they take on the South Carolina Stingrays. A win for the Swamp Rabbits will allow them to clinch.
