Dropping Tuesday night’s contest against South Carolina, the Indy Fuel enter Wednesday night looking to earn their first back to back wins since March 20. Picking up their first win since May 5, South Carolina is fighting for their playoff lives on Wednesday night.

LAST TIME OUT

Playing their first of two games against the Stingrays, the Indy Fuel visited the North Charleston Coliseum for the first time this season. Indy’s Jared Thomas would score the first goal of the game from a pass from Nic Pierog before the Stingrays tied it up less than 20 seconds later.  South Carolina would score a goal in both the second and third periods to eventually take the 3-1 win over the Fuel. 

THOMAS’ TALLIES

Entering Wednesday night, Fuel forward Jared Thomas has registered three goals and two assists in his last four games played. Picking up 21 assists through 46 games in a Fuel uniform, Thomas is currently in a three-way tie for first place on the Fuel roster in assists. 

CRUNCH TIME

Although they dropped Tuesday’s contest, Indy remains in third place in the East Division. The Greenville Swamp Rabbits are currently three games ahead of the Fuel in the second spot in the Division. Defeating the Solar Bears on Monday allowed the Swamp Rabbits to extend their second place lead over the Fuel. A win on Wednesday night will hold Indy in the third place spot above Orlando who is currently two games back.
