LAST TIME OUT
Playing their only game of the weekend, the Fuel hosted their I-69 rival Fort Wayne Komets on Saturday, April 17. Fort Wayne would get out to the early lead in the first period before building on that lead in the second and third periods to eventually take the 4-0 win.
MUCH NEEDED BREAK
Sunday night will be Indy’s only game during the week after having three of their previous games postponed due to ECHL Health and Safety Protocols. The Fuel will be playing their first game since being defeated 4-1 by the Orlando Solar Bears on Monday night.
TOUGH SLEDDING
Coming into Wednesday night the Fuel have struggled to string together wins against the Fort Wayne Komets. Playing 13 games against their I-69 rival this season, the Fuel have put together a record of 4-7-2-0.
THE HOME STRETCH
Although Indy will be facing a West Division opponent on Sunday night, a regulation win would give them a .596 win percentage, keeping them in second place in the division. With back-to-back losses to the Jacksonville Icemen on Friday and Saturday night, the Greenville Swamp Rabbits fell to third place in the division with a .583 win percentage.
