LAST TIME OUT

In the first of three straight matchups, the Indy Fuel hosted the Fort Wayne Komets on Friday night. Throughout the majority of the game, Indy led thanks to a goal from Peter Krieger. Tying the game late in the third period, Matt Murphy forced overtime where Brandon Hawkins scored the game-winner 30 seconds in.

PETER’S RETURN

Returning to the Indy Fuel after playing 14 games for the American Hockey League’s Manitoba Moose, Peter Krieger got on the board quickly on Friday night. Prior to leaving the Fuel Krieger led the team with six goals and 10 assists. Scoring Indy’s only goal of the night on Friday, the Fuel are fortunate to have his offensive skill back in the lineup.

IN THE HOMESTRETCH

Falling to the Komets in overtime on Friday night, Indy dropped .001 in win percentage. With Orlando losing to Florida and South Carolina defeating the Wheeling Nailers, the pair of teams are tied at .553 win percentage. A win for the Fuel on Saturday night and a loss for South Carolina will put Indy one win away from clinching a spot in the Kelly Cup Playoffs.
