This season the Fuel are proud to be teaming up with PNC Bank to help make a difference around Central Indiana. Each month, we'll take a closer look at what the Fuel organization has been up to away from the rink in our Community Spotlight.
Beginning the month of June, the Fuel partnered with the Winchester Speedway to become the presenting sponsor for the Hoosier Daddy 100. Fuel mascot Nitro visited the Speedway during the race and took part in the opening ceremonies.
The Fuel also joined up with SPARK!Fishers to visit their street fair on June 26. The Fuel held a booth during the street fair and Nitro entertained the children and took pictures with Fuel fans!
Nitro hosted his annual Nitro Kids Club Skate Event on June 27 the Fuel Tank in Fishers. Kids were able to come out, skate on the ice as well as meet and take pictures with Fuel players Mike Lee and Seamus Malone.
To close out the month of June, the Fuel partnered with Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield for their Packing Party for foster care children. Nitro and volunteers packed backpacks filled with new pajamas, stuffed animals, hygiene products, a blanket and more. The backpacks were given to "The Villages" — the state's largest non-profit child and family services agency.
The seventh season of Indy Fuel hockey is officially underway. The Indy Fuel are committed to getting back out into our communities and make a difference in the community that supports us every game. Whether it is our mascot Nitro, players, coaches or our staff, getting out into the community and making us all one big hockey family is one of the largest priorities of the Indy Fuel organization.
