INDIANAPOLIS – The Indy Fuel, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s Chicago Blackhawks and the AHL’s Rockford IceHogs announced Friday that they have signed defenseman Christopher Cameron to a standard player contract for the 2021-22 season.
Cameron, 22, joins the Fuel after he played 55 games for the Barrie Colts during the 2019-20 season tallying two goals, 5 assists and 69 penalty minutes. The 6-foot-4, 229-pound defenseman spent his last four seasons playing for the Colts. Skating in a total of 227 OHL games, Cameron registered 5 goals 34 assists and 259 penalty minutes.
Prior to playing in the OHL, Cameron played two years for the Oakland Jr. Grizzlies U16 and U18 teams. Appearing in a total of 59 games he earned nine goals, nine assists and 68 penalty minutes.
With the signing of Cameron, the Fuel have eight forwards and four defensemen signed for the 2021-22 season. Stay tuned to Indy Fuel social media pages for more player signings throughout the offseason.
