LAST TIME OUT
In the first half of the home and home matchup, the Cyclones came away with a 4-1 win thanks to goals from Louie Caporusso, Gianluca Esteves, Justin Vaive and Brett Van Os. Indy saw a goal from Seamus Malone but would eventually fall in the first exhibition game.
CAVALRY HAS ARRIVED
After beginning camp with a small number of players in camp, the Fuel received a handful of players to bolster their firepower. Indy’s American Hockey League affiliate sent forwards Riley McKay, Liam Folkes, Chad Yetman and goaltender Tom Aubrun while forwards Brent Gates and defenseman Jordan Schneider signed contracts with the Fuel.
GOALTENDING BATTLE
Entering Saturday night’s contest, the Fuel have three goaltenders on the roster. With Tom Aubrun being being assigned to the Fuel by Rockford, his spot is all but solidified. Assuming the Fuel run with only a pair of goaltenders this season, Mitch Gillam and Michael Lackey will fight for the final goaltending spot on the roster.
