LAST TIME OUT

An electric third period and impeccable goaltending was the name of the game as the Indy Fuel got revenge for their home opener loss to Cincinnati last week by storming past the Cincinnati Cyclones to win 6-0 in Cincinnati’s 2021-22 home opener.

GOING ON THE ROAD

Sunday’s contest against Wheeling was the first of five straight road games for the Indy Fuel. Entering Tuesday night against the Cincinnati Cyclones, Indy has only played two road games, earning a 1-1-0-0 record.

NEW FACES SCORING

Three different players scored their first Fuel goals over the weekend. CJ Eick scored his first goal of the season in Sunday’s loss while both Kirill Chaika and Jake LeGuerrier scored their first professional goals on Friday night.

THE FOLKES MUSIC KEEPS PLAYING

Entering Tuesday night, Liam Folkes is riding a four-game point streak. Tallying three goals and two assists in his first four games in a Fuel uniform, Folkes leads the Fuel in goals. The first-year forward is currently third place in goals among ECHL rookies.

GOALS ARE KEY

Through two games against the Cyclones this season, the Fuel have scored a combined eight goals. Coming into Tuesday night, the Indy Fuel are 11th in the ECHL in goals for per game (3.40) and 10th in goals against (3) while the Cyclones are 20th in goals for (2.83) and 9th in goals against (2.67).
