Playing the third and final game of the weekend, the Indy Fuel travel to Wings Event Center to take on the Wings in the back half of a home and home series. Indy has won seven out of their last eight games while the Wings have lost three straight games.

LAST TIME OUT
In the first half of a home-and-home series, the Indy Fuel hosted the Kalamazoo Wings on Saturday at Indiana Farmers Coliseum. Jumping out to an early lead, the Fuel would see five different players put goals on the board and earn their seventh win in their last eight games.
NEW YEAR’S RESOLUTION
Since January 1st, the Indy Fuel have gone on to earn a 6-1 record. On top of their six wins, they’ve only given up more than two goals twice in those seven games and have outscored their opponents 27-14.
Earning his 9th win of the season on Saturday night, Mitch Gillam has registered wins in his last seven starts. Stopping 45 of 49 shots on the weekend, Gillam has helped the Fuel to being two points out of a playoff spot.
Picking up an assist on Saturday night, Jared Thomas has a goal and an assist this weekend as well as points in his last eight games. The fourth-year pro previously had a 14-game point streak that put him atop the Fuel’s points standings. With nine goals and 24 assists this season, Thomas is first on the Fuel in points and third in the league in assists.
PUT IT IN THE RECORD BOOKS
Scoring Indy’s first goal of the game on Saturday night, Spencer Watson tied Matt Rupert for 2nd place on the Fuel’s all-time goals list. In his third full season with the Fuel, Watson has scored a total of 62 goals in 132 games, putting him 18 behind Josh Shalla for 1st place.
