In the first-ever outdoor game for the franchise, the Fuel visited the Toledo Walleye at Fifth Third Field on New Year’s Eve. Although scoring the opening goal, the Fuel gave up seven goals in their second loss in a row.

Entering Friday’s contest, Seamus Malone has tallied one goal and three assists in his last four games. Skating in 34 games for the Fuel this season, Malone has picked up 10 goals, 15 assists. Playing alongside Jan Mandat and Liam Folkes over the last four games, the trio combined for six goals and seven assists.
FLYING FOLKES
Picking up points in his last three games, Liam Folkes has been one of the hottest players since returning from injury. Appearing in 19 games in a Fuel uniform, Folkes has tallied five goals and six assists.
STILL SEARCHING FOR THE KEY
Scoring Indy’s first goal of the game last Saturday, Spencer Watson is tied with Matt Rupert for 2nd place on the Indy Fuel’s all-time goals list. In his third full season with the Fuel, Watson has scored a total of 62 goals in 132 games, putting him 18 behind Josh Shalla for 1st place. With three points on the weekend, Watson also put himself in third place on the Fuel’s all-time points list with 115 points.
YETI RETURNS
Assigned by the Rockford IceHogs on Thursday afternoon, Chad Yetman returns to a Fuel lineup that has had no shortage of offense recently. The 21-year-old has skated in a total of 19 games for the Fuel this season earning six goals and 12 assists. Tallying nearly a point per game, Yetman will jump in with a Fuel team that is 5th in the ECHL in goals per game (3.49).
GOT THEIR NUMBER
The Fuel will face a Toledo Walleye team that has had their number all season. Earning a 0-3-1-0 record against the Walleye this season, the Fuel have been outscored by a total of 22-10. Toledo has been one of of the best, if not the best, teams in the ECHL season, sitting eight points of 2nd place in the Central Division.
