INDIANAPOLIS – The Indy Fuel, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Chicago Blackhawks and the AHL's Rockford IceHogs announced Friday that forward Riley McKay and defensemen Mike Lee and Keoni Texeira have been assigned to the Indy Fuel.
McKay, 22, returns to the Fuel with 26 ECHL games under his belt. The Swan River, Manitoba native has tallied five goals, six assists and 118 penalty minutes for the Fuel this season. In his second year pro, McKay has played in a total of 13 AHL games for the IceHogs earning one assist and 25 penalty minutes.
Texeira, 24, has skated in 30 games with the Fuel this season tallying three goals, 12 assists and six penalty minutes. Serving as the team’s captain, Texeira is in the middle of this third season with the Fuel and fourth-year pro. The native of Rancho Cucamonga, California has appeared in 210 ECHL games, earning 20 goals, 92 assists and 155 penalty minutes.
Lee, 25, joined the IceHogs on January 9th after he returned from a tryout with the Hartford Wolf Pack. Skating in 27 games for the Fuel this season, Lee has tallied five goals, 22 assists and four penalty minutes. Currently in his second professional season, Lee has appeared in 3 AHL contests, registering two penalty minutes.
