IceHogs Recall Leguerrier, McKay and Howarth

INDIANAPOLIS – The Rockford IceHogs, American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate of the ECHL’s Indy Fuel, announced Thursday that they have recalled Jacob Leguerrier, Kale Howarth and Riley McKay from the Fuel. 

Howarth, 24, joins the IceHogs after being assigned to the Fuel on January 6. Playing three games for the IceHogs, Howarth tallied one goal and five penalty minutes. Playing five games for the Fuel before being recalled by the IceHogs in November, Howarth earned two goals and two assists. 

McKay, 22, returns to the IceHogs with 25 ECHL games under his belt. The Swan River, Manitoba native has tallied five goals, six assists and 118 penalty minutes for the Fuel this season. In his second year pro, McKay has played in a total of 13 AHL games for the IceHogs earning one assist and 25 penalty minutes. 

LeGuerrier, 21, heads back to Rockford having played in 22 ECHL contests. The 6-foot-1, 203-pound defenseman has earned two goals, five assists and six penalty minutes in his time with the Fuel. Prior to joining the Fuel this season, LeGuerrier played two AHL games for the IceHogs.
