LAST TIME OUT
The Wheeling Nailers hosted the Indy Fuel for their first road game in February. Despite coming out with an early lead thanks to Riley McKay, the Fuel ultimately fell after Nick Hutchison, Sean Josling and Cam Hausinger scored three straight goals to earn the Nailers a 3-1 win.
FIRST-TIMERS
Duncan Dalmao will make his head coaching debut on Friday night when the Fuel takes on the Nailers. Dalmao has had a full week of practice with his team and has stressed the importance of being a high-energy and tight-checking team when facing teams from the Central Division.Â
YETI RETURNS
Friday night sees the return of forward Chad Yetman to the Fuel lineup. Yetman joins the Fuel after being activated from concussion protocol. The 2nd-year pro returns to the Fuel after playing in 14 games for the IceHogs this season, tallying one goal and two assists. Appearing in 22 games for the Fuel before being recalled, Yetman has registered six goals and 13 assists. Â
JUMPING OUT EARLY
The Fuel have scored the first goal of the game 29 times this season and have earned themselves a 19-7-2-1 record when doing so. Holding on to that lead into the first intermission, the Fuel have earned a 12-3-0-1 record this season. Indy has only faced the Nailers at home twice this season, scoring first in one of the contests and tallying five goals in both contests.Â
