The Fuel enters Friday having won four out of their last six games while Wheeling has struggled as of late, only winning two out of their last seven games.Â

After beating the Wheeling Nailers at home 4-1 on Wednesday, March 26 the Indy Fuel traveled to West Virginia for a Saturday night matchup. After each team scored within the last 30 seconds of the third period, Seamus Malone scored in overtime to give the Fuel the 5-4 win.
GRABBING THE LEAD
Entering Indy’s Friday night contest against the Nailers, Indy is 23-8-2-1 when scoring the first goal of the game. Putting the first goal on the board in two out of their last three wins against the Nailers, the Fuel are 6-4-1-0 against their Central Division rival. Leading after two periods in two of the three games, the Fuel have put together a 24-1-0-1 record when leading after 40 minutes.Â
MIGHTY MANDAT
Tallying an assist on Wednesday night, Jan Mandat enters this week’s games on a six-game point streak. The Czechia native has tallied a goal and six assists in his last six games played. Tallying .83 scoring chances per game this season, Mandat has tallied 1.27 points per game this season, putting him in first on the Fuel that category.Â
RIDING HIGH
Earning his third shutout of the season on Wednesday night and his second in a Fuel uniform, Justin Kapelmaster handed the Fuel their franchise-high 8th shutout of the year. The second-year pro has appeared in eight games for the Fuel since arriving in mid-February. Since then, he has registered a 2.33 goals-against average and a .920 save percentage. Â
