LAST TIME OUT
It’s been seven days since the two teams faced off against one another when Indy snuck away with an overtime win thanks to Seamus Malone. Just like Saturday, March 26 where Indy won 5-4 in overtime after Seamus Malone scored the game-winning goal, the Fuel came from behind Friday, April 1st to win it 4-3 after Malone once again scored in overtime.
SPREADING THE LOVE
Tallying one goal and two assists in last week’s games, Bryan Lemos sits in second place on the Fuel’s assist chart behind Jared Thomas (34). Since joining the Fuel in late February, Lemos has tallied seven goals and 13 assists in 21 games with his new team. Registering just under a point per game with the Fuel, Lemos is also tied with three other players with two shorthanded assists this season.Â
CRAZY CRAIGHEAD
Entering Friday’s game against Wheeling, Darien Craighead has four goals and two assists in his last three games. Another mid-season addition, Craighead has been nothing less than stellar for the Fuel this season, tallying 18 goals and 21 assists in 43 games as well as leading the team in power-play goals.Â
PLAYING SPOILER
While they haven't been officially eliminated from playoff contention yet, the Fuel have the opportunity to play spoiler for the Wheeling Nailers on Friday night. Sitting in the fourth and final playoff spot, the Nailers are one point ahead of the Kalamazoo Wings. A regulation win over the Nailers on Friday for the Fuel and a win for the Wings will knock the Nailers out of the playoffs with five games left in the season.Â
