INDIANAPOLIS- The Fuel stay in Reading today to take on the Royals one more time before returning home. They look to take another win and go 4-0 on the season, which would be their best start as a franchise and match that of the Cincinnati Cyclones who currently sit in first place in the division.
LAST TIME OUT
Last night, the Fuel faced the Royals and claimed a 3-1 win after a scoreless first period left both teams antsy to score. With Mitchell Weeks in goal, the Fuel didn’t have much to worry about as he stopped 28 shots, made some incredible saves, and only allowed one power play goal.
MIGHTY MANDAT
After last night, Jan Mandat became the Fuel's leading goal scorer with three goals on the season. With an assist and strong work on the penalty kill, he has been one of the most important players on the Fuel's roster through three games.
SPECIAL TEAMS
It is not a secret that special teams have been incredibly important to this team. The Fuel have scored seven of their 13 goals on the power play and last night’s game winning goal from Mitchell Hoelscher came while the Fuel were on the penalty kill.
