ABOUT THE HOCKEY:
INDIANAPOLIS- The Fuel will take on the third place Kalamazoo Wings at home before heading to Kalamazoo to face them on home ice on Sunday. This is the fourth meeting between these two teams this season and Indy is looking to win their fourth straight against them.
LAST TIME OUT
The last time these two teams met was November 13 where the Fuel visited Kalamazoo and took home a 2-1 win where Kirill Chaika and Nate Pionk scored their first goals of the season.
Last night, against Iowa, the Fuel’s defense shined as Shane Kuzmeski had two goals, along with Chris Cameron tallying two points to put Indy ahead. The Fuel’s defense has been effective in scoring all season and head coach Duncan Dalmao has noted how important it is to have that roster depth.
Since joining the Fuel, defenseman Shane Kuzmeski has had a huge impact, scoring two goals last night against Iowa and tallying two assists to help beat the Nailers last week. He was named the Fuel’s first star last night for his contributions. He has tapped into his offensive potential and it has helped tremendously.
