FUEL HOST IOWA IN BLACK FRIDAY MATCHUP

GAME DAY TIMING:

BLACK FRIDAY:

This Black Friday, grab your flashlights because there’s a blackout at Indiana Farmers Coliseum. The first 1,500 fans will get a free Fuel Blackout shirt! Shirts can be found in the lobby in front of the Fuel players mural while supplies last. Dress in your finest black attire as the Fuel take on the Iowa Heartlanders. Stick around after the game for autographs with Indy Fuel players in the lobby!

PARKING: Parking at Indiana State Fairgrounds is $10. Fans are encouraged to arrive early to park due to anticipated large crowds at the Fairgrounds. Infield parking is not available at this time due to set up for the Christmas light show.TICKETS: Tickets for tonight’s game can be purchased at the Indiana Farmers Coliseum Box Office or online HERE. Kids two and under do not need a ticket as long as they sit on the lap of a ticketed patron. BAG POLICY: The Indy Fuel now follow the same bag policy as all Indiana State Fairgrounds events. All bags are subject to search upon entering the arena. All bags larger than 14” x 14” x 6” (backpacks, suitcases, duffel bags, etc.) are prohibited. Please plan accordingly to help facilitate a quick and efficient entry process. Please report suspicious bags to an Indiana Farmers Coliseum team member.

NONPROFIT OF THE GAME:

Indy Warrior Partnership partners with communities to help prevent veteran suicide. Their programs accomplish this by starting at the community level and understanding the unique situations of veterans and their families. They connect local veteran-serving organizations with the appropriate resources, services, and partners that they need to support veterans, their families, and caregivers at every stage of veterans’ lives. Their ultimate goal is to improve the quality of life for veterans and to end veteran suicide by empowering local communities to serve them proactively and holistically before a crisis occurs.

ABOUT THE HOCKEY:

INDIANAPOLIS- The Fuel host the Iowa Heartlanders tonight in an effort to climb back to first place in the division whereas Iowa will look to win just their second game of the season. 

LAST TIME OUT

The Fuel hosted the Heartlanders on November 4, where they won 5-2, outshooting them 36-24. Forward Jan Mandat had a hat trick in this game which included an empty net goal to finish the game. Additionally, team leaders in points Chad Yetman and Alex Wideman tallied goals. 

SHOTS, SHOTS, SHOTS

The Fuel are undefeated this season when outshooting their opponent. In their most recent game (a 4-2 loss) against the Wheeling Nailers, the Fuel allowed 48 shots on goal, which is the most they’ve allowed this season. While shots do not always directly correlate with scoring goals, it seems like Indy’s trend this year is that getting shots on goal makes a huge difference. 

MIGHTY MALONE 

The Fuel’s Seamus Malone has taken sole ownership of most assists on the team with 11. Important to the scoring success of the Fuel, Malone has had assists in eight of thirteen games played so far this season.
