FUEL LOOK FOR SWEEP AGAINST OILERS

INDIANAPOLIS- The Fuel are set to face the Tulsa Oilers one last time this weekend as they look to sweep the series and go 5-0 on the road in their last five games to cement themselves in first place in the division over the Cincinnati Cyclones, who have lost two straight to Toledo. 

LAST TIME OUT

These teams faced off on Friday night where it was an evenly matched battle, much like the first game on Thursday night. This one, however, carried over into overtime where Cooper Zech was the hero for the Fuel, scoring just 37 seconds into the overtime period.

ZAZZY ZECH

Speaking of Cooper Zech, he has collected eight points in five games since joining the Fuel, four of them coming in their last matchup with Tulsa. He tallied his first game-winning goal that night and an assist on three of the other four goals scored for the Fuel. He started off his tenure with Indy with a two-goal night against Kalamazoo on November 26 and has only had one pointless game otherwise.

ROAD AHEAD

For the remainder of December, the Fuel have a stretch of matchups with division rivals, with the exception of one game against the Kansas City Mavericks, where they can really take hold of the top spot in the division if they can string together some more wins. This begins with a game against the Fort Wayne Komets in Indy on Friday, December 9.
