INDY FUEL WEEK 3 RESULTS: 2-0-0-0, INDY FUEL OVERALL RECORD: 5-1-0-0 Overall (2nd Central)

 GAME 5 - FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 4 VS IOWA: 5-2 W

The Fuel hosted the Iowa Heartlanders for Military Appreciation Night on Friday and claimed a 5-2 victory with the help of Jan Mandat who scored his first ECHL hat trick. Alex Wideman tallied one assist on a goal by Chad Yetman, effectively tying Josh Shalla for the most franchise assists with 73. Iowa extended their losing streak to 0-6 to open the season before winning their first game against Fort Wayne the day after. 

GAME 6 - SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 5 VS KALAMAZOO: 5-1 W

On Saturday, the Fuel donned throwback Indianapolis Racers jerseys for 'Turn Back the Clock' night and certainly channeled Gretzky and Messier as they defeated the Kalamazoo Wings 5-1 in K-Zoo's first road game of the season. With five different goal scorers, the Fuel rolled along and showcased their offensive depth as they have all season. 

ROSTER MOVES

• Koletrane Wilson has been placed on the Injured Reserve list, effective 10/31.

OIL DROPS 

• This Friday in Cincinnati, captain Keoni Texeira will play in his 250th career ECHL game.
• Alex Wideman has officially tied Joshua Shalla for Fuel franchise assists leader with 73. Wideman achieved this number in 30 fewer games than Shalla.
• With his four goal weekend, Jan Mandat is tied for first place in the ECHL for goals scored, scoring seven in fewer games than the players he is tied with.
• Last Friday was also Mandat’s first recorded ECHL career hat trick.
• Mitchell Hoelscher leads the Fuel in +/- with +8

TEAM NOTES

• With two wins at home this week, the Fuel are undefeated on home ice.
• The Fuel are tied for first place in the league for most shorthanded goals scored with 3.
• Indy ranks seventh in the league in penalty minutes, averaging 17.5 per game. 
• The Fuel are 6th in the league on the power play with a power play scoring rate of 23%.
• Indy has scored the most goals in the Central division so far with 27 goals for. 
• Through six games, the Fuel have scored most of their goals in the second period with 11, while they have scored 8 in the first and third period.
