INDIANAPOLIS- The Fuel continue their western road trip tonight in Tulsa for the beginning of a three game series against the Oilers. Their win in Wichita last night put them back in first place in the Central division with one more win than the Cincinnati Cyclones.
LAST TIME OUT
The last time the Indy Fuel faced the Tulsa Oilers was back in the 2020-21 season where Indy took the season series 3-0 over one weekend in January. Despite going to overtime in the middle game of that series, Indy finished off the weekend with a 4-2 regulation win to sweep Tulsa.Â
MALONE’S CLUTCH
Seamus Malone has found his groove, scoring two game-winning goals in a row and leading the team with two in that category after last night. Tied with Alex Wideman, he also leads the team in assists this season with 11 and is second on the team in shots. With a shorthanded goal and two power play goals, Malone has proved to be effective on all sides of the puck and scores when it’s needed.
STANDINGS BREAKDOWN
Headed into Thursday, the Fuel are tied with the Cincinnati Cyclones for first place in the Central Division. The Fuel have one more win, however the Cyclones have played three less games so far this season and also have three games this weekend.
