INDY FUEL WEEK 4 RESULTS: 4-0-0-0, INDY FUEL OVERALL RECORD: 14-5-1-0 Overall (1st Central)

 GAME 17 - WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 30 AT WICHITA - 3-2 W

The Indy Fuel visited the Wichita Thunder for the first time and only time of the 2022-23 season Wednesday night. The Fuel came away with the 3-2 win, their first against the Thunder since the 2019-20 season opener.

GAME 18 - THURSDAY, DECEMBER 1 AT TULSA - 3-1 W

The Fuel continued their road trip in Tulsa Thursday night where they began a three game series against the Oilers in an attempt to stay in first place in the Central division. Despite not scoring first, they took the win 3-1 after two late game goals.

GAME 19 - FRIDAY, DECEMBER 2 AT TULSA - 5-4 W

Indy took on the Tulsa Oilers for the second of their three-game series in Tulsa, their third game in as many days. Both teams had 34 shots in the match, but the Fuel never let Tulsa take the lead and ultimately got the win 5-4 in overtime.

GAME 20 - SUNDAY, DECEMBER 4 AT TULSA - 4-1 W

The Fuel finished their road trip with one last win in Tulsa to sweep the three-game series and the road trip. They had their largest margin of victory on the weekend with a 4-1 win and a two-goal game by Kale Howarth.

ROSTER MOVES 

  • Forward Jakub Pour was released by Chicago on 11/29
  • Goaltender Mitchell Weeks was recalled by Rockford on 12/5

OIL DROPS 

  • Seamus Malone is currently on a seven-game road point streak and a five-game point streak.
  • Defenseman Andrew Perrott is tied for fourth in the league with Reading’s Colin Felix for most penalty minutes with 50.
  • Through six games, Cooper Zech leads all defensemen in points per game with 1.50. 
  • Spencer Watson is just one goal away from tying the all-time Fuel record of 80, currently held by Joshua Shalla.
  • Despite missing two games this weekend, Chad Yetman still leads the team in points per game with 1.06 and +/- with +12.

TEAM NOTES

  • With nine road wins on the season, the Fuel lead the league in wins as the visiting team.
  • The Fuel have the most power play goals on the road in the league with fifteen.
  • The Fuel still have the league’s most shorthanded goals so far this season with seven. 
  • Through twenty games, the Fuel have had 233 shots for in the second period, which is statistically their most successful scoring period.  
  • Indy currently has the longest win streak in the league with five games.
  • The Fuel are currently tied for first place in the Western conference with the Idaho Steelheads, both with 29 points.
