INDY FUEL WEEK 9 RESULTS: 2-2-0-0, INDY FUEL OVERALL RECORD: 17-8-1-0 Overall (1st Central)
GAME 23 - WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 14 VS WHEELING - 6-4 W
The Fuel hosted the Wheeling Nailers on Wednesday night for Ugly Sweater Night as part of their Wintertainment series and ultimately defeated Wheeling 6-4 with two late goals to secure the win.
GAME 24 - FRIDAY, DECEMBER 16 AT WHEELING - 6-3 W
After taking down the Wheeling Nailers 6-4 this past Wednesday, the Indy Fuel made the trip to Wheeling, WV with the goal of defeating their division rival in back-to-back games. Not only did Indy emerge with a 6-3 victory, but forward Spencer Watson tied and broke the franchise record for points while goaltender Zach Driscoll set the record for most saves and shots faced so far this season.
GAME 25 - SATURDAY, DECEMBER 17 VS CINCINNATI - 4-3 L
It was a Saturday night Central Division matchup as the Indy Fuel hosted the Cincinnati Cyclones for their annual Teddy Bear Toss night. They let the bears fly early in the first period but could not mount a big enough comeback and fell to Cincinnati 4-3.
GAME 26 - SUNDAY, DECEMBER 18 AT FORT WAYNE - 5-4 L
The Fuel headed to Fort Wayne to finish off the weekend. In a high scoring match, as all games between these two teams have been so far this season, the Fuel did not have enough time to complete a comeback and fell to the Komets, 5-4 in regulation.

- Goaltender Mitchell Weeks reassigned to Indy on 12/19
- Fuel traded defenseman Josh McDougall to the Wichita Thunder on 12/20

- Defenseman Chris Cameron re-assigned to Indy on 12/20
- Forward Chad Yetman recalled to Cleveland (AHL) on 12/20
OIL DROPS
- Chad Yetman earned ECHL Player of the Week for a six-point weekend with two goals in one game against Cincinnati.
- Yetman is also on an eight game point streak in games he has played.
- Spencer Watson tied and broke the Fuel all-time points record against Wheeling with two assists on Friday night.
- Zach Driscoll posted a season high 48 saves on Friday against Wheeling while facing a season high 51 shots.

- The Fuel still lead the Central division by one point over the Cyclones before their matchup this Friday.
- Indy has scored the most shorthanded goals in the league with eight but have also given up the most shorthanded goals with six.
- The Fuel still play their best in the second period, outshooting their opponent’s by 13 during the second frame.
- Indy has a division leading 99 goals so far this season, the fourth most in the entire league.
- Indy is ranked eighth in the league standings after splitting this week’s games.
- The Fuel’s Zach Driscoll has played the fifth most minutes in the league with 893 in 15 games. He also has faced 495 shots, the fourth most in the league.
