INDIANAPOLIS - The Indy Fuel announced today that they have claimed former Fuel forward Karl El-Mir off of waivers from the Trois-Rivieres Lions.
Indy held the rights to El-Mir, 26, following the 2021-22 season. He was traded to the Orlando Solar Bears prior to the 2022-23 season for future considerations. He played 11 games with the Solar Bears this season where he scored one goal and tallied five assists before playing six games with the Lions where he scored two goals.
The 6’0” forward played 37 games for the Fuel in 2021-22, where he notched ten goals, 11 assists and 33 penalty minutes. He also played 17 games for the Fuel during the 2019-20 season where he totaled nine points (5g, 4a).
