MATCHUP: Indy Fuel @ Iowa Heartlanders

INDIANAPOLIS- The Fuel continue their week against the Iowa Heartlanders, playing their second of four games against them in a row.
LAST TIME OUT
These two teams played two nights ago on January 4 where the Fuel took the win in overtime after a late game goal by Brendan Robbins of Iowa tied it up. Andrew Perrott scored his second goal of the season for the overtime winner to make it 3-2 to give the Fuel their third win against Iowa this season. This was also the Heartlanders’ eleventh game to go beyond regulation this season.
WHICH WATSON
First year defenseman Matt Watson has had a breakout role in the Fuel’s last two games tallying an assist in each and posting a +/- of +6 through the season so far. His twin brother, Spencer Watson is also on the cusp of history after his last goal in the Fuel’s game against Cincinnati puts him just one goal away from breaking the all-time franchise goals record of 80.
SUPER SPECIAL TEAMS
Both the power play and penalty kill had been an early struggle for the Fuel. Despite scoring the most shorthanded goals in the league with nine, they have also given up the second most shorthanded goals with seven. Indy has shown huge improvement with their penalty kill over the last few games, allowing just one power play goal over the last 22 power plays.
