ABOUT THE HOCKEY:
INDIANAPOLIS- The Fuel host their second game of the weekend against the visiting Jacksonville Icemen of the South division. After a late-game loss last night, Indy looks to bounce back and not earn three losses in a row.
LAST TIME OUT
The last time these two teams played was last night at Indiana Farmers Coliseum where the Icemen scored just 25 seconds into the game. The Fuel erased the lead by scoring three unanswered goals. Ultimately, it was two third period goals by the Icemen that tied and won the game for them.
HILLIS IS HOT
Cam Hillis is coming off of a three-point game against Jacksonville last night and has quietly become an important piece of the Fuel’s offense with 13 goals and 19 assists in 37 games. He is currently on an 11-game home point streak and will look to extend that tonight.
MIDDLE FRAME SUCCESS
The Fuel consistently play their best in the second period. They shoot and score most during the middle period, as well as give up fewer goals to their opponent. This does not come as a shock as this season, Indy has given up the first goal 17 times this season. They have lost just five of those matches, typically erasing that deficit in the second period.
