INDY FUEL WEEK 18 RESULTS: 0-2-0-0, INDY FUEL OVERALL RECORD: 31-17-2-0 Overall (3rd Central)

GAME 49 - FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 17 AT KALAMAZOO 3-2 L

The Fuel headed back to Kalamazoo for a two game set after facing them last Saturday and shutting them out 5-0 in Mitchell Weeks’ second shutout of the season. This time, without big scorers Alex Wideman and Seamus Malone in the lineup, they fell to the K-Wings 3-2.

GAME 50 - SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 18 AT KALAMAZOO - 3-2 L

Indy played Kalamazoo again, this time with Zach Driscoll in net after missing eight games due to injury. They faced the same fate as Friday night, falling to the K-Wings 3-2.

ROSTER MOVES 

  • Forward Austin Albrecht released on 2/14
  • Forward Chase Lang activated from IR on 2/17
  • Defenseman Shane Kuzmeski activated from IR on 2/17
  • Forward Seamus Malone placed on reserve effective 2/6
  • Goaltender Zach Driscoll activated from IR on 2/18
  • Goaltender Mitchell Weeks was placed on reserve on 2/18
  • Forward Chad Yetman loaned to Belleville (AHL) on 2/20

OIL DROPS 

  • Defenseman Chris Cameron remains the Fuel’s penalty minutes leader with 98. With a five minute major for fighting on Saturday night, he officially has six recorded fights this season, the most on the team.
  • Andrew Perrott is the only player remaining on the Fuel to have played all fifty games so far this season.
  • Cam Hillis has surpassed Alex Wideman for the first time this season in points. Both have 51 but Hillis has achieved this in one less game played.
  • Hillis also leads the team in points per game, averaging 1.09 through 47 games.
  • Wednesday night against Iowa will be defenseman Kirill Chaika’s 100th game with the Fuel and in the ECHL.

TEAM NOTES

  • The Fuel currently sit in third place in the Central division after back-to-back losses to the Kalamazoo Wings this weekend.
  • Indy’s road power play ranks third in the league with a 24.5% success rate.
  • Their home penalty kill record is ranked second in the league with a 85.9% kill rate. They are second only to first place Idaho who has a 86.5% kill rate.
  • Indy has only lost three games this season when leading after the first two periods.
  • The Fuel both score the most and allow the most goals in the third period. Through 50 games, they have 65 goals for and 55 goals against in the third.
