ABOUT THE HOCKEY:
INDIANAPOLIS- The Fuel host the Toledo Walleye on Saturday night as they celebrate Wizard Night. This is the second game of a three-game weekend for the Fuel after they lost in Iowa last night.
LAST TIME OUT
The last time these two teams met was February 24 when the Walleye visited Indy for the first time this season. Toledo took the win in that one, 4-1 with the lone Fuel goal coming from Chad Yetman late in the game to break the shutout.
LONG LIVE LEMOS
Forward Bryan Lemos has shown up in the scoresheet a lot more lately after an injury kept him out of the lineup and a brief dry spell when he returned. He found the back of the net twice last night in Iowa, despite one overturned goal. He also had the game winning goal against Kalamazoo in their last 2-1 win over the K-Wings on Education Day.
MAGIC NUMBERS
Last night against the Kalamazoo Wings, Toledo officially clinched the playoffs making them the first team to do so in the league. Coming into this matchup, the Walleye are 38-15-4-2 leading the Central division which they won last season. They are headed into this game against the Fuel as the first game that can not affect their playoff chances.
