TOLEDO- The Indy Fuel return to Huntington Center to take on the Toledo Walleye for game two of the division semifinals. The best of seven series will return to Indiana Farmers Coliseum after tonight for at least two more games on Tuesday and Thursday.
LAST TIME OUT
The last time these two teams met was last night in game one of the division semifinal series where the Walleye defeated the Indy Fuel. With a three point night for Trenton Bliss, Toledo took the 4-1 win after heading into the third period tied 1-1.
SPECIAL TEAMS WORK
With all five goals last night coming on the power play, it’s clear that special teams is going to play an important role in this entire series as it has in most matchups between these two teams this year. The Walleye ranked in the top five for both power plays and penalty kills for the season, so the Fuel will need to stay disciplined in order to keep the Walleye’s scoring low and win games.
STING LIKE A BILEK
Colin Bilek was on the game sheet a lot last night as he was in the box for Toledo’s crucial second goal as well as being the only Indy goalscorer for the evening. Bilek has been a big addition to the Fuel’s power play lately and bolsters the team’s physicality which will be important in a series that saw 50 penalty minutes last night alone.
