INDIANAPOLIS- The Fuel will head to Fort Wayne tonight to play their first road game of the season against the Komets who defeated them 4-1 last night at Indiana Farmers Coliseum.
LAST TIME OUT
Last night, the Komets got to work quickly with two quick goals before Jon Martin was able to net the Fuel’s first of the season while on the power play. With two third period goals by Fort Wayne, the Fuel fell 4-1 but hope to bounce back tonight.
SANTINO SENTIMENTS
Through three games, including preseason, with the Fuel, defenseman Santino Centorame has made a huge impact on the scoresheet. With a goal against Cincinnati and a primary assist last night on the Fuel’s lone goal, the defenseman has proven to be important to the power play and generating offense from the blue line.
AROUND THE DIVISION
Only three teams in the Central division have played at least one game, leaving Fort Wayne in first place, the Iowa Heartlanders taking a spot in second place after one regulation loss and one overtime loss earning them a point, and the Fuel in third place ahead of four teams who will make their season debuts tonight.
