INDIANAPOLIS - The Fuel will head to Cincinnati for the third meeting this season between the two teams. Cincinnati has won both contests so far, most recently defeating the Fuel 2-6 on their home ice.
LAST TIME OUT
It was as even a first period as it could be. Goals were scored by both sides with an even amount of penalty minutes. It all unraveled in the second period. Five goals were scored by Cincinnati, three of which came in a matter of 2 minutes and 30 seconds. The Cyclones forced Zach Driscoll out of the net and ended up on top 6-2.
JORDAN IS JAMMING
Zach Jordan has been a huge positive for the Fuel since coming down from Rockford. He’s had a point in four of his last five games, including three points in the first two matchups against Cincy. His presence in the offensive zone will be crucial for Indy having success in this game.
AROUND THE DIVISION
Currently, the Toledo Walleye sit four points ahead of the next closest team in the Central West Division. Iowa, Fort Wayne, Wheeling, and Cincinnati all sit in the middle of the pack separated by just two points, at the most. It’s a long season, but the Fuel are currently last in the division still looking to get hot moving forward.
