INDIANAPOLIS- The Fuel will spend their second night in a row in Kalamazoo taking on the K-Wings, their most frequent opponent this season, after shutting them out 3-0 last night.
LAST TIME OUT
The last time these two teams met was last night where the Fuel claimed their first shutout of the season with a 3-0 win over the K-Wings. Kale Howarth scored the first goal in his first game back with the Fuel this season. Additionally, Trevor Zins had the game winning goal, his first of his professional career.
MERRY MALONE
Fuel captain Seamus Malone has been an integral part of the lineup, making a difference on the power play, the penalty kill and at even strength. Through 22 games, he has seven goals and eight assists leaving him in second place on the team in points. He’s tallied three power play goals and leads the team in shots with 66.
HOLIDAY BREAKDOWN
After 23 games this season, the Fuel are 10-10-3-0, which leaves them in last place in the Central division however they have played the least amount of games out of any of the teams. The race is still very close in the division as second and seventh place are only separated by one point meaning one weekend could completely flip the standings.
