INDIANAPOLIS - The Fuel look to end with an above .500 record for the long weekend with a Sunday afternoon game in Kalamazoo.
LAST TIME OUT
The Fuel got out to a quick 2-0 lead just 6:22 into the game but Kalamazoo came firing back in the third period, tieing it up at two a piece with 9:50 left in regulation.
The game trickled into extra hockey but it did not last long as Bryan Lemos ended the game just 17 seconds into overtime to give the Fuel a 3-2 win at the Indiana Farmers Coliseum.
BASHFUL BILEK
Colin Bilek is coming off a feisty performance last night against the Iowa Heartlanders in Indy. The Fuel penalty minutes leader for Forwards dropped the gloves early on and took his opponent to the ground. He also added to his goal total with his 11th of the season to open the scoring for the Fuel.
Four of Bilek’s 11 goals on the season have come against the Wings, three of those being scored in Kalamazoo. His hot hand has been fueling the fire for Indy and he’ll look to continue that this afternoon in a crucial game to keep the Fuel in the hunt for the two-seed in the Western Central Division.
AROUND THE DIVISION
The Toledo Walleye have been holding the lead in the division with 54 points, despite a four-game losing streak. The Komets hold second place while the Fuel are tied with Wheeling for 3rd place at 44 points with Cincinnati creeping behind in 5th place with 42 points. Kalamazoo and Iowa bring up the rear in the Western Central Division with 38 and 36 points, respectively.
