INDIANAPOLIS- The Fuel begin their long weekend of traveling with a Friday night stop in Wheeling to face the Nailers for the seventh time this season. Indy is 4-1-1-0 against them so far this season.
LAST TIME OUT
The last time these two teams met was December 27, 2023 when the Nailers visited Indy and lost 1-0 due to an early-game goal by Sam Ruffin. Mitchell Weeks, who has since been called up by Rockford, claimed his second shutout in a row in that match.
THE GOAL STORY
Despite having the fewest goals for in the Central division, the Fuel have hovered in the middle of the pack recently. A few low-scoring and tie game wins have made the difference for Indy. The Fuel also have the fewest goals against in the division and after their game against Norfolk that saw 63 penalty minutes for Indy, they also lead the division in PIM.
