ABOUT THE HOCKEY:
INDIANAPOLIS- The Fuel will start their three-in-three weekend on Thursday night as they face the Atlanta Gladiators for the first time since January of 2020. In a close divisional race, the Fuel could find themselves second place in the division at the end of the weekend.
LAST TIME OUT
The last time these two teams met was January 25, 2020 when Atlanta visited the Fuel and Indy took the 6-1 win with a game winning goal by Ryan Van Stralen and a 29-save performance by goaltender Charles Williams.
GRIMACING GLADIATORS
The Atlanta Gladiators visit the Fuel from the South division where they currently sit in last place with a 16-26-2-0 record and 34 points. On a three game losing streak, Atlanta will look to bounce back during their visit. Like the Fuel, the Gladiators lead their division in penalty minutes with 675 so far this season.
BRILLIANT BULMER
Last weekend in Newfoundland, Brett Bulmer averaged two points per game and went +4, helping the Fuel to a 2-1 series win over the Growlers. On a hot streak, Bulmer could be a key component to scoring over the Gladiators this weekend.
